Maketori's role

Maketori helps people discover local Instagram sellers, local businesses, and local events in the LA + OC Core soft opening area. Maketori is a discovery and inquiry platform, not the seller, buyer, broker, payment processor, escrow service, delivery service, or agent for either side.

Direct seller-buyer transactions

Orders, quotes, payments, deposits, pickup, delivery, fulfillment, cancellations, refunds, product quality, safety, taxes, and disputes are handled directly between the visitor and the seller. Maketori is not responsible for direct seller-buyer transactions or losses that come from those transactions.

Seller responsibilities

Sellers and event hosts are responsible for keeping photos, descriptions, prices, availability, Instagram links, event details, categories, and locations accurate. Sellers must have rights to the media they submit, follow applicable laws, and avoid misleading, unsafe, restricted, or inappropriate content.

Visitor responsibilities

Visitors should review seller information, confirm order details, timing, price, pickup or delivery terms, refund expectations, and payment method directly with the seller before paying or meeting.

Unverified and claimed profiles

Some soft opening profiles may be created from operator-approved candidate imports before the seller claims them. Unverified or claimed status helps explain profile ownership, but it is not a guarantee of seller quality, product quality, availability, legality, or transaction outcome.

Soft opening moderation

Maketori may approve, hide, edit-request, reject, suspend, or remove sellers, promos, events, messages, reports, and feedback when needed for safety, accuracy, legal risk, or soft opening quality. Moderation, approval, or verification is not an endorsement.

Plans, trials, and billing

Internal soft opening trials can change a seller's plan without charging a card. Paid checkout or automatic billing should only happen through Stripe-hosted flows after the seller clearly sees the price, renewal date, cancellation path, and gives payment consent.
